#APACHE OPENOFFICE FOR MAC CATALINA MAC OS X#
The last OpenOffice version supporting Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard) is. The current Apache OpenOffice supports Apple OS X version 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.10 (Yosemite), 10.11 (El Capitan) and macOS 10.12 (Sierra), 10.13 (High Sierra), 10.14 (Mojave), 10.15 (Catalina). This tutorial sets up the AMP stack in more of a traditional way using the loaded Apache and PHP and downloading MySQL. This guide will also work on macOS Catalina and Mojave. This tutorial will go through the process of getting Apache, MySQL, PHP (or otherwise known as the 'AMP' stack) and phpMyAdmin running on the new mac OS Big Sur.I already have homebrew installed and have used it to install a bunch of stuff. Today I needed to setup Apache Tomcat on a OS X Lion machine. Verdict: Its fallen behind LibreOffice in recent times, but OpenOffice remains a good choice for those looking for an alternative to Microsoft Office. It is hard to overestimate how much I am grateful for the homebrew Mac OS X package manager. The current version of Apache OpenOffice will run on M1 devices using Rosetta 2.I've been using version 4.1.11 on my Mac M1 for months. No need to switch to the derivative LibreOffice.
